Tom Sharma leads the global product team at IAS. He was key in launching the company’s new brand safety solution on TikTok. Using IAS’s proprietary frame-by-frame video, audio, and text classification technology, IAS helps marketers ensure their ads run next to suitable content in TikTok’s dynamic feed environment; brands including L’Oreal participated in the successful beta program. Tom was essential in the continued expansion of Context Control, IAS’s leading contextual targeting product. Context Control has been integrated with all major DSPs, including Google DV360, The Trade Desk, Xandr, and more. It’s available in 50+ countries and 30+ languages to meet global demand for these tools. Global brands like Jaguar Land Rover are working to activate Context Control. In Q3 2021, 36% of IAS’s programmatic revenue was driven by Context Control. Tom’s extensive background in video and CTV product development was critical in defining IAS’s CTV product roadmap. Following IAS’s $220 million acquisition of CTV ad platform Publica in August 2021, he continues spearheading new product innovations. Tom’s team also led the recent launch of IAS Signal, a new unified reporting platform delivering data and insights that advertisers and publishers need to easily manage their digital campaigns globally – with further product enhancements coming soon.
For 2021, IAS reported Q1 revenue of $66.9M; Q2 revenue of $75.1M; and Q3 revenue of $79M. During one of the busiest IPO seasons, IAS went public on June 30, 2021 and is now listed on the Nasdaq. Since its founding in 2009, IAS has transformed with a renewed focus on growth, global customers, and its team around the world. With Tom’s leadership, IAS plans to launch new CTV solutions, and will explore opportunities in emerging categories including audio where the company can provide greater transparency and controls for marketers.
