In one of the most competitive UK travel markets on record, P&O Cruises faced an urgent challenge: defend its position as the UK’s #1 cruise brand while driving bookings during the crucial Wave sales window. With TV spend doubling year-on-year and more cruise brands competing for attention, the old approach simply wouldn’t cut it.

The breakthrough came after a successful 2024 trial, when we proved the power of P&O Cruises first-party booking data, identifying high-value segments of Lapsed guests, Loyal clusters, and new-to-cruise audiences. Layered with geo-intelligence from YouGov, Kantar and Mastercard purchase data, we pinpointed postcode “hotspots” where intent was highest, ensuring every media pound worked harder. Our creative platform, Holiday Like Never Before, challenged traditional holiday assumptions, brought to life through a bold, programmatic, omnichannel strategy: • Dynamic & 3D DOOH transformed the dreary commute into an irresistible preview of Caribbean sunshine, fusing real-time ship data and weather feeds. • Immersive 3D audio transported listeners onto the deck of a ship. • Precision retargeting used Mobile Ad IDs to deliver sequential display and price-led offers, managing frequency across every touchpoint. The results were record-breaking. Brand health soared and sales skyrocketed. It became P&O Cruises strongest ever January, with record-breaking sales volume across the board during the month.
