When Starcom's global clients are grappling with the complexities of data strategy, they turn to Kelly Kokonas, Executive Vice President of Global Data Strategy and the media agency's very own technology pioneer. Through direct client engagement, agency leadership and talent development, Kelly has chartered new paths, harnessing the power of data technology to work smarter, measure better and deliver business outcomes for the world's leading advertisers.
To ensure brands are poised to grow in the future, understanding data quality, accuracy, origination, maintenance and rendering/reporting is essential. And, global brands must do this consistently on a global scale. Solving for this is where Kelly thrives.
As day-to-day data, technology & analytics chief for several of Starcom's global clients (Kellogg's, Coca-Cola, ABInBev), Kelly is leading clients through the complexities of data strategy. Kelly works with clients to understand their objectives, shaping their annual data strategy and bringing to bear global agency resources to execute against this plan. A key part of this includes conducting data maturity audits, helping clients fundamentally understand where they are on their data journey, where they need to be and how they will get there.
Her thoughtful approach to change management, solve-don't-sell mindset and deep client partnerships cultivated over two decades at Publicis Groupe have enabled Kelly to drive meaningful business outcomes. This includes improved data quality, decreased reliance on third party data and increased use of new measurement methods.
Internally, she is creating a global media operations powerhouse and cultivating future-forward talent, coaching them to be strategic gatekeepers, highly informed about and prepared for platform-based operations, shifting tasks from human hands to automation, and adopting governance to global standards.
As a prominent female leader working in data, technology & analytics, Kelly is also deeply committed D&I, being an ally to women and the BIPOC community.
