Driving footfall for Hollywood Bowl and Puttstars using experimental Out of Home tech

In 2022, Hollywood Bowl wanted to drive footfall to their UK Hollywood Bowl and Puttstars mini-golf centres across the Easter school holiday period. Importantly, they had an objective of driving saliency amongst families and young adults to ultimately drive pre-booked visits.

Utilising Talon’s proprietary Out of Home technology, Ada, Atlas and Plato, to identify and reach Hollywood Bowl’s target audiences, and serving them bespoke relevant content in line with local weather conditions contributed to a significant increase in footfall to their centres vs. their top competitor. The data-driven planning and activation enabled the campaign to be delivered to more of those who found it relevant, influencing Hollywood Bowl’s target audiences to act based on its messaging. Significantly, these results extended beyond the real world, with the Programmatic OOH activity also driving consumers online eliciting a significant improvement of web performance and online bookings.
