Creating a New Frontier in Audio Advertising using Synthetic Voice

Adthos

Adthos Creative Studio provides – for the first time anywhere- the opportunity to create broadcast-quality, targeted audio advertising on-the-go using advanced text-to-speech and synthetic voice and AI technology. This browser-based multitrack editor allows broadcasters and advertisers to collaborate online, combining music, human and synthetic voice to produce real-time audio advertising that offers new and powerful ways to monetize. With a voice library of 52 US - English voices, including broadcast professionals and Emmy-award winners (with the ability to add more), which are brought to life by controlling intonation, speed and applying reading rules for content such as phone numbers or emails. It also offers features commonly found in Digital Audio Workstations: equalizers, compressors, limiters, with an option to use professional plugins. Users can create more personalized ads based on a range of data including geo-targets, location, pricing catalogues and more. Plus there’s an extensive collection of APIs that offer the opportunity to insert dynamic data based on the latest information and updates – for example, sports matches, news or travel updates - for a truly targeted and up-to-the-minute audio ad experience.

Throughout 2022, Adthos partnered with media agencies to deploy this technology for audio advertising for a number of brands including Shopify, Greenwheels and Blinds.com as well as those mentioned in the case studies. Advertisers were able to generate multiple (sometimes thousands) versions of ads using both dynamic and static data insertions, producing creatives that covered numerous locations, offers and discounts alongside variables such as the day of the week, the weather or even the time of day. Something that simply wouldn’t be possible in a traditional recording studio set-up. This truly is a new frontier in Audio Advertising, and we are only just starting to see the possibilities that AI and synthetic voice can offer for our industry.
