We transformed London’s O2 arena into the world’s most digitally advanced venue and created a totally new artist experience: ‘Take a Fan Selfie with Michael Bublé’. With breakthrough AR technology, fans could use their smartphones to pose alongside Bublé’s avatar. We filmed the singer using Volumetric 3D capture technology and 106 video cameras at a high-tech studio in London – one of only three AR stages in the world. Our team recorded the shape and detail of Bublé’s every move, building out a full 3D video avatar of the man himself.
On the day of his concert at The O2, we invited Michael’s fans to pose with an augmented version of him and offered them the opportunity to record a video selfie with Michael which they could share with their friends and social network from within the app.
